Self-correction

Once you've learned the technique in a course, the tapes can be repositioned yourself at home. You don't have to visit a stylist every time — you just need the right materials and to follow the method strictly.

Important note

Below is a general sequence of correction steps, not a complete protocol. The exact list of materials and step-by-step method is taught in the training course — self-correction without training, or with the method not followed, can damage your natural hair.

General sequence

  1. 01
    PreparationGather the materials for removing and reinstalling the tape, and wash and dry your hair without oils or conditioners near the roots.
  2. 02
    Removing the old tapeCarefully dissolve the adhesive with a tape remover, without pulling or forcefully combing the strands.
  3. 03
    Preparing the strandSection off a strand the same width as the tape, and clean any adhesive residue from the roots.
  4. 04
    Installing the new tapeFirmly and evenly attach the tape at the root, following the technique learned in training.
  5. 05
    CheckMake sure the tape sits evenly and doesn't pinch your natural hair, adjusting if needed.
